Residential Complex Romanstrasse, Munich

Classical yet contemporary, the new building creates a balance between the individual, discerning tastes of the occupants and the adjoining neighbourhood. Access to the building is markedly set back from the road in order to emphasise the privacy of the house. The entrance area, with a porch and seating area in natural stone, is very inviting. The design of the façade uses classical architectural styling to achieve its elegant restraint: the ground floor has a plinth and contrasts clearly with the upper storeys with its stucco cornice.

The classical upright window formats are accentuated by finely coordinated plaster mouldings and systematically applied textured rendering. The top floor is strongly recessed as an offset storey and varies the design techniques of the main façade with skilfully applied modern elements. In the development of the apartments, attention was paid to the greatest possible individuality: above the garden flat, there are the Belle Etage, a city apartment and a penthouse designed as a maisonette over two storeys.

All apartments are of a generous size and equipped to a very high standard. Distinctive design factors are the excellent lighting exposure with beautiful views to the exterior and the large open spaces.The high-quality details of the entrance area and the loggias round off the overall design.
