The existing building of the international management consultancy in the centre of Munich with its central atrium, halls and cubicle offices is being subjected to a complete makeover. The aim of the reconstruction is the creation of a modern, flexible office landscape.
The new multi-space office provides the employees – depending on their needs and tasks to be executed – with a chance to find the right place, irrespective of whether for concentrated individual work, creative sessions with kick-offs or together with the team. The office vestibules and walls are being removed, to be replaced by a dynamic open-plan office. Traffic areas are being converted into communication areas.
Through the use of diverse possibilities for retreat such as phone booths, focus rooms and meeting rooms, workplaces are being divided into zones, and communication and privacy encouraged. The partner offices too can be used as meeting and reclusion spaces – an agile working world is being created, combining tradition and modernity in every respect. The working café functions not only as a central meeting point – it can also be used for informal discussions and team work: Formally a new interpretation of the Bavarian parlour. The creative principle consisting of elegant ambience, lightness and cosiness is mirrored in the overall design. The open loft character of the rooms is reinforced by the ceiling design of black expanded metal. Abstracted and large-format Munich motifs determine the wall design and distinguish the individual office floors.
