Where the charm of the solid middle-class district of Bogenhausen borders on the manifold range of culture and liveliness of Haidhausen, a contemporary residential ensemble is being created among the existing mature and heterogeneous buildings. Two new buildings encompass two differently designed inner courtyards and, with the neighbouring development, create a connecting route through the whole block.
The penthouse, with its two storeys, is 290 square meters large and has a generously sized rooftop terrace. The lower storey contains an office, a fitness area and the guestroom, while the upper level is reserved for the private residential area. The complete interior follows the concept of an individual piece of furniture. The principal materials here are elegantly dark wooden surfaces in oak and the natural stone Pietra Piasentina. These are complemented by metal coatings, lime-marble layers, fabric coverings, hand-painted wallpaper, carpets made of cashmere, Chinese silk and Tibetan wool and platinum mosaic in the bathrooms.
A faceted mirror wall greets the occupant and cleverly conceals the master area. Doors and doorknobs have been dispensed with by the individual integration of interior doors in the furnishings, which are opened either by hidden door closers, magnets, specially designed handles or forged push-handles. Additionally, furniture blends with the functional elements such as the interior staircase, which overlaps sculpturally with the sideboard. The location of the penthouse is a particular feature. Depending on the weather, residents can enjoy a view either of the Friedensengel or of the Alps.
