The last phase of the extensive rebuilding work – the redesign of the suites and the gastronomy in the Sengerschloss in the hotel DAS TEGERNSEE – has now been completed.
The newly designed suites are oriented on the concept of the boutique hotel – every room is different and has its own individual touch, such as the four-poster bed in the oriel suite. Additionally, the two floors of the Sengerschloss have different themes – “Grand Chic” on the upper floor and “Bohemian Bavaria” under the roof. The colour schemes are similarly oriented: in the upper floors, deliberate touches are made merely by the stucco, whereas the attic stands out with its strong colours and wallpapers. The requirements of the heritage conservation authority have been integrated in the new concept. For example, the historic wooden ceiling in one suite has been taken into consideration in the design, just as the stuccoed walls and the supraportals over the doors in the lobbies. The new rooms are characterised by timeless, individual design that does justice to the history of the building and combines history and design to create an overall entirety with a maximum of feel-good factor.
The new restaurant design plus the existing alpine brasserie, wine bar and tower bar form a complete ensemble, which shows its character in the absolutely high-quality furnishings. The seating in the restaurant and the new table arrangement give every guest a magnificent view of the Tegernsee, and the redesigned buffet area and the show kitchen offer new event opportunities every evening. The colour scheme too gives the restaurant two aspects: the terrace area is dominated by lighter colours and is thus optimally suited to the daytime business with external guests, while the upper area has more muted colours, providing for a convivial atmosphere at dinner.
