Groundbreaking Ceremony for MONACO Office Building in Munich’s Werksviertel

The New Work concept MONACO was developed for a unique building of over 4,000 m², designed by the renowned Rotterdam-based architecture firm MVRDV. MONACO creates an extraordinary setting for the unfolding of individual potential. A contemporary office today must be more than just functional – it should represent, inspire, and express identity.
This is where a work environment is being created that promotes well-being and fosters a sense of belonging. It offers genuine added value through a feeling of community, space for intellectual exchange, spontaneous ideas, and a culture of resonance. This gives rise to a vibrant and inspiring collaboration.
Landau and Kindelbacher developed the interior design concept for the entrance area, lobby, lift landings, office spaces, and restroom cores. The guiding principle was to continue the sustainably designed façade – created using recycled materials – in the interior spaces, making its materiality tangible and adapting it to the distinctive character of the new Werksviertel.
