Residential and commercial building at Johannisplatz, Munich

The residential and commercial building at Johannisplatz is situated in the heart of Haidhausen in a partly listed environment, close to the city centre and next door to Maximilian Park. Within the town planning context, the cubage on the street side takes up the eaves of the neighbouring listed building, whereas the rear of the ensemble is augmented by a three-storey building. The redesign results in up to 6 storeys plus the roof with 12 residential units between ca. 30 m² and ca. 170 m² and a shop area on the ground floor.

The façade design in classical style harmonises with the appearance of the neighbourhood, many of the buildings of which are listed. Large-format windows contribute to the residential quality. The functional structuring of the apartments and the open design of the residential areas form modern room series of high architectural quality. The games and leisure area in the inner courtyard can be accessed via the staircases and offers privacy, safety and a high quality of stay.
