The villa of a private client, located in a prime area of Bolzano, serves as an analogy to the South Tyrolean villa typology, blending seamlessly into the traditional urban context. Its classical architectural language, conventional solid construction, and locally typical roof overhang, combined with the highest-quality craftsmanship, harmoniously integrate the new building into the surrounding neighborhood.
On the ground floor, the villa is entered through the central main entrance from the street side, where the entrance hall offers a view through an opening in the ceiling down to the garden level. A central staircase sculpture connects the four levels of the hillside structure, from the basement to the garden and ground floors, up to the first floor.
The family’s living area is located on the garden level. A wrought-iron table mirrors the shape of the ceiling opening, while glass elements framed in brass create a clear sightline from the bar through the hall and dining area to the garden. The living and dining area can also be connected to a home cinema.
The interiors are characterized by warm gray veneered wall and ceiling coverings, textile panels, brass-clad furniture details, and solid natural stone surfaces. A variety of custom-made pieces with tailored details and handle solutions contribute to a high degree of individualization. Suede-covered cabinet fronts, upholstered window niches, and custom-designed wall lights made of backlit marble exemplify the high design standards.
On the upper floor, there is an open play area with adjacent children's rooms, a fitness room, and a guest area. A built-in samba staircase leads to the villa's rooftop terrace.
The high-quality standard of construction is also evident in the design-oriented integration of the building services. Examples include the cooling ceilings clad in wood veneers, the invisible outlets for the controlled ventilation system, and the meticulously coordinated lighting design.
